How do I stop water following the cable inside?
Enter through a proper pass-through rather than a bare drilled hole, and keep the run sloping away from the entry point.
Should I bury the Starlink cable?
For permanent runs, yes — bury it or run it in conduit to avoid mowing damage and rodents.
Is the cable weatherproof on its own?
The cable is outdoor-rated, but UV and repeated flex at the dish end are the common failure points to protect.
